Weeknight xbow hunt-video

So I told my dad I needed a hand on some roof work today at my house... I mentioned if we finish early enough we can take the xbows and go "wing it" on a local wma the last hour of daylight..

So we finished up working, I grabbed the pse tac15 in case I saw a coyote , and my dad grabbed the ravin15 in hopes for a lucky chance at a nice buck.
We sighted in a few shots to 50 yards before heading out.

We're wearing the same clothes we worked all day in and just threw a camo shirt on top. Sprayed down quick with permrthrin spray which reeked and I figured we wouldn't have any luck.

We stalk our way in about 400 yards, find a bunch of white oaks dropping acorns.. a quick glance around and we see a few buck rubs and leaves turned over.
We climbed up this knoll and sat back to back.

20 mins before dark we have 2 big does walk right in to feed on acorns-i had no idea he planned on shooting a doe.. if I knew I would have said "hold on, she's behind a tree " lol.

His shot was a surprise to me... she didn't go far, crumbled in sight.

Rage 2 blade broke both front legs.. right through the large knuckle joint was split in 2.

Careful with these ravin xbows..
He had it on his knee and the deer went down to the left, so he took it off his knee to shoot free hand off to the side and had a rude awakening when he shot.. the cam hit his knee. He said it hurt like hell.. but it's not that bruised. Just a bump.

He wont do that again!

Here's the video.. I was filming with my phone
