Fishing jetti rocks is a way different situation then fishing the spot mentioned here. There are some tricks that will work elsewhere, But at this spot one thing I've realized is you need to find the holes and get your bait down them asap and you will catch. Have never seen more
Rigs lost anywhere EVER LOL!!

Wouldnt happen to be the white one on the end would it?
Stunz, I feel like half my snags have been other peoples lost rigs with how many breakoffs are in those rocks! Jetty fishing is a whole nother ball game, no where near as many rigs in most jetties. I have my spot on the spot mentioned and know right where the submerged rock in front of me is

RR, Im sure you could spear fish there, I personally wouldnt, usually pretty murky and it would be hard to get in the rocks to find the tog with all the rigs in there.

Alright fellow anglers NO SPOT BURNING. Back on topic though depending on the target species I fish appropriate to that species especially around rocks. I see many using pyramid sinkers no no no, you are begging for a snag.
Most of my snags are others lost rigs and lines in jettys, just like phillyoutdoorsman.
When targetting Tog I use a splitshot or two 18" above the hook with a 15 to 20' leader with uniknot to braid.
For Weakies I normally through soft plastics or bobber 3'-6' above bloodworm. I know I do not snag near as much as others on the rocks.

Phillyarcher wrote:You must have been fishing at the inlet along the walls. The best way I have fished this was like you said using a boober with weight. One other way is to fish the tide in the rocks with split shots. Next time you go look at the tide going out till its gets to be slack tide. You will be able to see the holes and then mark them or if you can remember were they are this helps a lot and you should not loose that many rigs. Good luck.

I've never tried a 'boober' !? What exactly are you targetting?
