Drum on Sunday

Unread postby TheFrugalFisherman » Tue May 31, 2016 4:46 pm

Decided to go with a buddy of mine out of Cape May for drum. We hit the Delaware Bay and there is a large pack of boats who are drum fishing. So, I tell my buddy, let's join the fleet, must be something going on there. But, no, he wants to try somewhere else. Well, no action or marks for a few hours, so I tell him let's move to the fleet. He kind of agrees and moves 'close' to the fleet. Well, we get a few marks, but no bites. So, again I tell him, let's move into the fleet. He finally agrees. We start getting good marks and within an hour we pick up 2 nice drum. I know the action isn't always 'in the fleet', but Sunday it was. Nice day on the water.
