7-14 Oustanding Fluke Fishing

Unread postby Hooker » Thu Jul 14, 2016 9:17 pm

I fished with Gene, Joe and Zach and it didn't take long before we were beating them up. I found a small area and stayed there until we boated 20 keeper sized flounder to 23.5", only keeping our 16 fish limit. Only 2 were below 18" and most were over 20". Zach never fished the D Bay and never caught a flounder, from Nebraska, so he got a quick lesson and in short time he was ripping lips. We burned through 4 large scoops of Higbees minnows and ran out!!!! Didn't count the shorts but probably around 40ish. Caught fish in 15'-23' of 80 degree water. They were hungry today even though our drift wasn't the greatest. Nice day all around.
