Running and Gunning

Running and Gunning

Unread postby Turkeyhunter50 » Sun May 07, 2017 3:43 pm

Went out Thursday morning and put out my daybreak decoy set-up. Just before 6:00, a hunter intercepted the group of gobblers and shot. Packed up my gear and headed to another farm for some running and gunning. A short time later I lit up 3 gobblers that ran in like track stars. At 20 yds I took the best of the birds. The bird checked in at 22 lb 14 oz., 10 3/4" beard, and 1" Spurs.

Very nice. You can be proud of that bird. I'm a sitter but would like to learn the run and gun way.
