Start em young

Unread postby Bones » Sun May 07, 2017 5:29 pm

It's been a fun season for me taking my daughter out to sit in the blind.
We haven't seen much a few hens a group of jakes and a gobble here and there out in the distance.
My 3 year old can't stay out of the woods every time I wake her up at o dark thirty I tell her we can stay in bed and go another day, she jumps out and says let's go I'm ready.
Like my grandpop says it's in our blood.
My wife told me no more 4am wake up for her so I have to wait till d week and hunt the afternoon with her.
We hunted 5 days so far and haven't heard a gobble on the roost the fields have been empty and I have been seeing groups of hens without toms, everyone I know has been saying the same thing. We still managed to have a blast.
Here's a few pics of our last two weeks

Cool pictures. You got to love her enthusiasm and appreciation of the outdoors. Looks like you have a permanent hunting partner.
