Anything to do with the magnificent whitetails

First stand is in place.

I decided to start putting up stands since so many of the knowledgeable hunters on here think that it takes a while for deer to grow accustomed to new hardware in their font yard. I had a spot that I hunted last year that I want to try again. So I put my first ladder out there this weekend. I see some evidence that Bambi is in the area (hoof prints and scat) so let's hope they get used to this stand before opening day.

I also used the opportunity to walk the area and fond another potentially good spot.

The good news is I spent two days in the woods and don't have a single chigger bite. I also lost a few pounds since I donned a Tyvek suit for the exercise and soaked it with permethrin and Deep Woods Off.
My biggest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my guns and fishing rods for what I told her I paid for them.
